Salcido Leaves CC for NHL

— Brian Salcido, a junior from Colorado College gave up his senior year of eligibility to sign with the Anaheim Ducks. He scored 70 points (15g,55a)the last two seasons combined.

He was a second-team All-WCHA selection as a junior in 2005-06, when he finished second in scoring among the league’s defensemen, Salcido is the third Tiger defenseman in the last year to make an early jump to the National Hockey League.

He was a fifth-round choice of the Ducks in the 2005 NHL draft.
