Wiercioch Signs With Ottawa, Ending Denver Career After 2 Seasons

Denver defenseman Patrick Wiercioch will forgo his final two seasons of collegiate eligibility after signing with the NHL’s Ottawa Senators.

Wiercioch was a second-round pick by the Senators in 2008. He had six goals and 27 points in 39 games for Denver this season.

He was a WCHA all-rookie team selection after his freshman season.
