Senators sign another, ink Clarkson’s Borowiecki

The Ottawa Senators have signed their second NCAA player with eligibility remaining this offseason by inking Clarkson junior defenseman Mark Borowiecki on Saturday.

The 21-year-old Borowiecki was the Senators’ fifth-round pick (139th overall) in the 2008 NHL draft and was the first Ottawa native ever drafted by the Senators.

Borowiecki, Clarkson’c captain this year, played in 31 games this season, tying for the team lead in scoring among defensemen with 11 points. In three years with the Golden Knights, he scored 12 goals, 20 assists and recorded 146 penalty minutes in 99 games.
