Mercyhurst assistant Rosso leaves for Lightning NHL job

Mercyhurst assistant coach John Rosso has resigned to become an amateur scout with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Rosso will primarily cover Minnesota high school hockey, the United States Hockey League and WCHA for Tampa Bay.

“This is a great opportunity for John,” said Mercyhurst head coach Rick Gotkin in a statement. “He helped us tremendously last season and we wish him nothing but the best in the NHL.”
