Merrill reinstated by Michigan after missing first 22 games of season

Michigan sophomore defenseman Jon Merrill has been reinstated to the team, effective immediately, after missing the first 22 games this season following a suspension prior to the start of the season.

“Jon’s indefinite suspension has been lifted,” Wolverines coach Red Berenson said in a statement. “He has paid for his poor decision and is back on the team.”

Merrill will dress for the Wolverines Friday night at Yost Ice Arena against visiting Lake Superior State.
