College Hockey:North Dakota’s Grimaldi to undergo season-ending knee surgery
North Dakota announced Thursday that freshman forward Rocco Grimaldi will undergo knee surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.
He will be eligible for a medical redshirt.
Grimaldi suffered the injury during the preseason and has appeared in just four of UND’s 23 games this season, recording two points on a goal and an assist.
Tabbed the WCHA preseason rookie of the year, Grimaldi was a second-round draft pick (33rd overall) of the Florida Panthers last June.
