College Hockey:
Norwich starts season as No. 1 team in women’s D-III poll

With 10 first-place votes, Norwich starts the season as the top-ranked team in the USCHO.com Division III Women’s Poll.

No. 2 Plattsburgh and No. 3 Gustavus Adolphus each received a first-place vote, while No. 5 Elmira was named the top team on three ballots.

Middlebury comes in at No. 4 this week.

Wisconsin-River Falls is sixth, Amherst sits seventh, Wisconsin-Superior eighth, Manhattanville is No. 9 and Concordia (Minn.) is the tenth-ranked team to start the season.

The USCHO.com Division III Women’s Poll is compiled weekly and consists of 15 voters, all coaches of Division III programs.

    Concordia is an up and coming program. Watch for them to be a force in the coming years after making the nationals for the first time in school history last year.
