Maine junior Lomberg reportedly charged with assault

Maine junior forward Ryan Lomberg has reportedly been charged with assault and disorderly conduct by the Orono Police Department, according to WABI TV.

Allegedly, the incident stemmed from an off-campus party and subsequent altercation the night of April 26.

According to SB Nation, Lomberg has been suspended from athletic activities and his status will be decided following the completion of an internal investigation.

Lomberg is due to appear in court June 17.

Last season with the Black Bears, Lomberg tallied 11 goals and 18 points.
