How does Elmira have to go on the road after winning the toughest conference in the country with the #1 SOS? Plattsburgh gets to host? Castleton not in? The committee this year dropped the ball. What a joke! I guess it helps to have the head of the committee from Plattsburgh.

    • CSCLax29

No, the problem is the Coach from Norwich is in the mix and obviously AFRAID to play Castleton again.

      • Icepests

Afraid to play Castleton? That’s a new one.

        • CSCLax29

Sure, why not. If you take a team that you lost at home to out of the tournament, you can play an easier mark. Yeah I would say AFRAID. If you take exception to that, ask yourself why? Why else would you not include the NUMBER 4 D3 Team in the country to the tournament? Also, sounds like there is a lot of “Conflict of Interests” on the committee. Mike McShane (Norwich’s Coach) should not be on the selection committee and step down now as we can see how this committee rolls…

McShane on the committe is a joke. And no Castleton is a direct result of that. Huge shaft to Castleton.

I agree 100% seems like they would look at elmira beating nuemman 5-1 to win there title and and plattsburg beating a barely .500 team in ferdonia to get in. In my opinion some one is trying to cool off elmira by sending them halfway across the county. Hmmm someone should look in the committee’s politics they are not very ethical if you ask me.

I don’t understand myself how Elmira could drop in seeding when they were seeded by the committee #2 and then not loose another game. Also, they beat a better team in their final then Plattsburgh beat in theirs. Elmira also tied Plattsburgh in Plattsburgh. I do think Castleton’s absence is probably due to McShane. I was at the final four last year and McShane come off as an snob, he didn’t even try to uphold sportsmanship by not even speaking to the Norwich fans about the disrespect they showed towards St Norbert. I agree that a head coach should not be on the committee, especially someone like McShane. I was in the Air Force for 10 years and I am embarrassed that students at a military college would display the character (rude) that they did. I am from Oswego and I hope that Elmira does beat Adrian, I have the utmost respect for Adrians program. For I believe trying to beat an opponent three times in the same year is a worthy challenge, especially the talent that Elmira (an excellent program) has.

Adrian’s the #2 team in the west Chris. 2 seed gets to host a 3 seed, it’s in the NCAA handbook. East committee dropped the ball by dropping Elmira for no reason.

Nobody dreamed that WS had a chance of making the field. Nobody believed that Castleton could be excluded.

    • CSCLax29

See how long WS remained in the Tournament. The bid should have rightly gone to Castleton where it belonged…

    Go Cadets

final out west , ncaa would like to have two teams from the east and two of west.
gate from 3 east teams, not good as 2 & 2.

On Coach Emery’s radio show this week, he didn’t seem surprised Plattsburgh jumped over Elmira and, in fact, stated it should have happened the week before. Perhaps it was laziness that kept Elmira #2 last week. I still don’t see UWS over Castleton – 12 losses is too many, I don’t care how tough your schedule is…..

has anyone asked how Oswego not only gets in but gets a bye…it places very little emphasis on the conference playoffs….who did Oswego beat? btw NU beat Castleton 5-2 away later in the season….they beat Bowdoin, Colby Williams 3-0 and Middlebury
