Location: Joe Louis Arena, Detroit
Qualifying Teams: Top 12 of 12
Format: The top four seeds receive byes in the first round. Seeds 5-8 host seeds 9-12 in a best-of-three first-round format. The following weekend, the four winners play at the top four seeds in a best-of-three second-round format. The four second-round winners advance to the final four, single elimination.
