What would it take for RPI not to get in? So I know who I am cheering for so they do get in.

  • lugnut92

    No upsets gets RPI in!

RPI can still be a #3 seed.

Too bad Cornell is hoping to ruin your season (again)

WMU will beat Michigan – book it.

That’s a bold statement. Yes its a new Bronco team with a ton of confidence with a great coach, but you can’t help but see they’re 1-9-0 record against Michigan in their last ten games. However I could see them pull it if they play well.

Previous year stats mean nothing. Jim Culhane was a terrible coach. Blashill has this team playing at 100%, and he has some standout underclassmen.

Western basically gave UM the last game at Yost. They are a young team learning to close games out. They learned from that (and want revenge). They also closed the regular season against Miami, Michigan and Notre Dame; that is some huge experience. Michigan had better be ready.

I might be wrong, but I don’t think I am. The #1 overall seed is Yale’s so long as they beat Colgate. But if they lose to ‘Gate, then they will not be #1 and could drop as low as #3. Yale, BC, and NoDak are all still in contention; Yale has a slightly lower RPI than both other schools, but has 2-1 leads in the PWC because they win both Common Opponents and TUC Records.

Yale is only going to play one TUC next weekend, and so cannot drop that category to either NoDak or BC (even if BC were to punt against Northeastern, getting it on the right side of the TUC cliff). But since Colgate played both Yale and BC, and their common opponent records are 3-0-1 and 3-1-0, respectively, if Yale loses to ‘Gate then BC wins Common Opponents, flipping the comparison and tying BC and Yale. I ran at least one simulation with this put in and under that simulation NoDak also tied Yale and BC, with NoDak getting #1 overall by virtue of RPI.

Long story short, all three teams are alive to get the #1 overall, and both NoDak and BC fans should be rooting hard for Colgate to continue the cinderalla story.

Scary team is Colorado College–they struggled a bit, got the youngest team in the nation, and the best freshmen player in the country Jaden Shwartz–he was out for 6 weeks and back now–watch out for the young guns from Colorado Springs

I was just going to post the same thing! Alternatively, Colgate could beat Cornell and get in as the 5th ECAC team as well. But nobody cares about them! LETS GO RED!
