College Hockey:Superior Puts Away Marian Early in 8-0 Victory
Eight Yellowjackets Contribute Goals
SUPERIOR, Wis. — Friday night, Wisconsin-Superior didn’t wrap up its victory over Marian until the Yellow Jackets scored six times in the third period. On Saturday, Superior didn’t wait that long.
Eight different players scored in an 8-0 victory at Wessman Arena. The Yellow Jackets wound up outscoring Marian 16-1 in the series.
Superior led 1-0 after one period. But before four minutes were done in the second period, the Yellow Jackets led 4-0. Colin Kendall scored on a power play at 1:58, then Eric Pitoscia’s goal came at 3:34 and Ryan Kalbrener scored 13 seconds later.
