Hartigan Completes Sweep

— St. Cloud’s Mark Hartigan scored at 3:02 of overtime with assists from Derek Eastman and Ryan Malone to chart a 3-2 win at No. 5 Colorado College on Nov. 11.

Hartigan finished his trip to Colorado with a total of three goals and three assists.

The No. 9 Huskies pushed their record to 6-1-1, 3-1-0 WCHA with the win, while CC drops to 6-2-0, 6-2-0 WCHA.

CC opened the game in the first period with a goal by Trent Clark at the 4:45 mark.

SCSU bounced back with a tally by Ryan Malone at 6:58 with assists from Mark Hartigan and Duvie Westcott. Tyler Arnason moved the score to 2-1 with an assist from Chris Purslow at 8:08 of the first.

After a scoreless second stanza, CC’s Peter Sejna knotted the score with a tally at 0:32 of the third on the power play. In the game, SCSU and CC each posted 25 shots in the game, with Scott Meyer gaining 23 saves in the game.

On Nov. 17, the Huskies will host Minnesota, and Colorado College will travel to Wisconsin.
