Ewing Goal Good Enough For 1-0 Marian Win

Defeat Of Gustavus Adolphus Is First Vs. MIAC For Sabres

— Marian scored its first-ever victory over an MIAC team Thursday night, beating Gustavus Adolphus 1-0.

Mark Ewing scored the game’s only goal and Marian goalie Terry Dunbar stopped all 15 shots he faced. Both are freshmen, as is Kirk Joudry, who assisted on Joudry’s goal.

Ewing scored his goal at 8:47 of the third period. The Sabres then killed off three penalties for their first victory of the season.
