College Hockey:
Aucoin’s Four Goals Open Norwich’s Title Defense

— Keith Aucoin scored four goals and assisted on a fifth as Norwich opened the defense of its national championship with an 8-0 victory over St. Anselm.

Aucoin, who set a single-season scoring record last year with 77 points, scored three of his goals in the first period Friday night.

Ed Boudreau, who transferred to Norwich from Maine, scored his first career goal and had three assists. Freshman Lou DiMasi and sophomore Adam O’Leary each notched their first career goals at Norwich. Boudreau also had three assists.
