Sevigny Slams Door As St. Catherine Marches Past Augsburg

— Jacquelle Sevigny stopped all 27 shots she faced and Mahrya Horner had two goals and an assist to lead St. Catherine to a 3-0 victory over host Augsburg Friday at Augsburg Ice Arena.

The victory was St. Catherine’s first over Augsburg in five attempts over the past three seasons. It also marked Augsburg’s first-ever home shutout loss to an NCAA Division III opponent in its six seasons of varsity hockey.

St. Catherine has yet to give up a goal in its two victories this week. The Wildcats shut out Wisconsin-Eau Claire 9-0 on Wednesday.

Kim Hayes opened the scoring at the 9:32 mark, with assists to Honer and Courtney Adney. Honer scored both of her goals in a six-minute span in the second period, an unassisted tally at the 11:09 mark, and a power-play goal from Adney and Hayes at 17:49.
