College Hockey:
Dennis Leads Vermont Past Conn. College

— Senior forward Torrey Dennis converted a power-play goal at 2:43 of the second period for the only tally of the contest, giving Vermont a 1-0 victory over visiting Connecticut College.

Sophomore goaltender Tiffany Hayes recorded 15 saves to earn her eighth consecutive shutout of the season. Anna Trafton made 51 stops in the Camel net as UVM outshot Connecticut College 52-15.

With the win, Vermont retained its hold on first place in the ECAC Division III Conference with a 9-1-0 mark, and stands at 9-6-0 overall. Connecticut College fell to 5-7-1 overall, 1-7-0 in the league.
