Ulmer’s OT Goal Snaps AIC 10-Game Skein

— Trent Ulmer put home a rebound from an Olivier Gagnon shot, 3:58 into overtime to give American International a 3-2 victory over Bentley in a MAAC league contest Saturday.

The win snaps AIC’s 10-game losing streak; it improves to 7-18 overall and 6-16 in the league, while Bentley falls to 4-24-2 (4-18-2).

Bentley jumped on the board just 36 seconds into the game when Marcus Willy beat AIC goaltender Chad Davis on the Falcons’ first shot of the game.

AIC responded with a goal by Kevin Fournier just 10 seconds into the Yellow Jackets’ first power-play opportunity at 10:59 of the second period.

Alex Walsh netted his second goal of the season to give AIC a 2-1 advantage before Andy Peters tied the game with 9:23 left to play.

Simon St. Pierre finished with 28 saves for the Falcons, while Davis stopped 36 in the win.
