College Hockey:
Latulippe Nets Winner For Golden Knights

— Jay Latulippe scored a goal midway through the third period to lead the Clarkson Golden Knights to a 3-2 victory against the Dartmouth Big Green Saturday night at the Cheel Arena.

Latulippe gave the Knights a 3-1 lead at the 10:50 mark, knocking a Rob McFeeters pass from behind the net past Big Green goalie Darren Gastrock.

Tristian Lush snapped the 1-1 tie when he stole a Dartmouth pass and broke in on Gastrock for the unassisted goal at the 3:25 mark of the final period.

Dartmouth (12-12-5, 9-8-5 ECAC) closed the gap to one when Kent Gillings netted a power-play goal off a rebound from Trevor Byrne. Mike Maturo also assisted on the goal.

In the first period, Jason Costa scored his first of the season when he wrested a shot at the net that was deflected by a Clarkson player in front. Frank Nardella and Chris Taliercio each picked up assists.

The Golden Knights (15-13-6, 11-6-5 ECAC) knotted the score at 1-1 when Dave Reid snapped a shot that beat Gastrock on the glove side just as a Big Green penalty expired.

Gastrock finished the game with 30 stops for Dartmouth while Mike Walsh made 29 saves for Clarkson.
