Ouellette Scores Three In Victory

— Senior Mike Ouellette recorded a hat trick to lead Dartmouth to a 5-2 win over McGill in exhibition action Saturday night at Thompson Arena. Three different Dartmouth players scored in the victory.

Ouellette lit the lamp with the first goal of the contest after a scoreless first period. The Big Green captain buried a rebound off of Tanner Glass’s initial shot to give the home team a 1-0 lead.

The Redmen tied things up at 15:58 when Doug Orr went top-shelf on Dartmouth goalie Mike Devine.

Ouellette scored the next two goals off assists from Glass and Grant Lewis at 18:23 in the second and 8:06 in the third.

McGill mounted a comeback off a strike by Louis-Simon Allaire with 8:58 to go in the game, but Dartmouth freshman Brandon Harrington fired a rocket from the point to give the Big Green a 4-2 lead.

Senior Eric Przepiorka capped off the night when he poked a loose puck past McGill goalie Jean-Michel Filiatrault.

Sean Samuel got the win for Dartmouth, going 30:42 with six saves. Devine went 29:18 and had nine saves. Filiatrault recorded 40 saves in net for McGill.

The Big Green outshot the Redmen 45-17, while both teams were 1-6 on the power play.
