Schaus’ 20th career shutout helps Boston College down Connecticut

— Boston College’s Molly Schaus made 14 saves in third period to seal her 20th collegiate shutout, a 3-0 victory over Connecticut on Sunday.

Schaus stopped 23 shots in total, and Kelli Stack had a goal and two assists for the Eagles (6-0-2, 3-0-1 Hockey East).

Stack scored a short-handed goal 3:15 into the first period, assisted on a Blake Bolden power-play goal in the final minute of the second and added another assist on Danielle Welch’s empty-net goal in the third.

Alexandra Garcia made 36 saves for the Huskies (1-7-1, 0-2-1).
