College Hockey:
Gilbert, Schmidt net two goals each in St. Cloud State’s win over Lindenwood

— Julia Gilbert and Haylea Schmid each scored twice for St. Cloud State, which scored four times in the second period for a 7-2 victory over Lindenwood on Saturday.

Molli Mott, Abby Ness and Ellie Sitek also scored for the Huskies (4-7-1), who got 28 saves from Katie Fitzgerald.

Caitlyn Post and Samantha Redick scored second-period goals for the Lions (0-10).

Lindenwood’s Nicole Hensley stopped 22 of 26 shots before being replaced by Taylor Fairchild, who stopped 13 of 16 shots.
