Maschmeyer gets shutout as Harvard beats Boston University for third in women’s Beanpot

— Three goals in three minutes in the second period and 32 saves by Emerance Maschmeyer gave No. 5 Harvard a 3-0 victory over No. 3 Boston University on Tuesday in the Beanpot consolation game.

Lyndsey Fry, Samantha Reber and Hillary Crowe scored in a stretch of 2:47 to turn a scoreless game into a comfortable Crimson (18-3-2) lead.

Kerrin Sperry stopped 34 shots for the Terriers (18-5-3).
