Mitchell’s goal carries RIT past American International

— Josh Mitchell’s goal with 13 seconds left in the second period broke a tie, and Jordan Ruby made 14 of his 32 saves in the third period as Rochester Institute of Technology beat American International 2-1 on Friday.

The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three Atlantic Hockey first-round playoff series.

Chris Saracino put RIT on the board in the first period but Jon Puskar answered for the Yellow Jackets in the second.
