Grimaldi sparks rally as North Dakota overcomes Vermont

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Rocco Grimaldi scored a goal and added three assists as No. 7 North Dakota rallied from a two-goal deficit for a 5-3 victory over Vermont on Friday.

Nick Bruneteau, Tom Forgione and Rob Hamilton scored to give Vermont a 3-1 lead but UND answered with the game’s last four goals.

Grimaldi got it started with a power-play goal, then assisted on third-period goals by Mark MacMillan and Drake Caggiula.

Adam Tambellini and Brendan O’Donnell also scored for North Dakota.
