College Hockey:
Gaudreau scores twice in Boston College’s win over Northeastern

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Johnny Gaudreau scored twice, including a short-handed goal that gave No. 8 Boston College the lead for good a 4-2 victory over No. 19 Northeastern on Friday.

Gaudreau added an empty-net goal in the final minute.

Kevin Hayes and Ryan Fitzgerald also scored for the Eagles (3-2-1, 1-0 Hockey East), who got 20 saves from Thatcher Demko.

Clay Witt stopped 29 shots, and Ryan Belonger and Mike Szmatula scored for the Huskies (5-2, 0-1).
