College Hockey:
Two goals from Alleva help Princeton past Colgate

PRINCETON, N.J. — Rose Alleva scored twice, and Jaimie McDonell tallied a goal and an assist to lead Princeton to a 6-2 victory over Colgate on Saturday night.

Jocelyn Simpson registered a point on both goals for the Raiders, netting the only goal of the second period to give the Raiders a 1-0 lead, and assisting on Miriam Drubel’s tying goal midway through the third.

But the Princeton offense kept on firing, as nine Tigers players tallied points during a wild third period. Olivia Mucha, Jaimie McDonnell, Alleva, Cassidy Tucker and Ali Pankowski accounted for six Tigers goals.

Ashley Holt stopped 20 of 22 shots in the victory for Princeton, earning her first decision of the season.

Susan Allen made 20 saves for Colgate.
