Northeastern upsets Harvard in women’s Beanpot semifinal

BOSTON — Northeastern jumped out to a three-goal lead on Harvard on a goal by Kelly Wallace and an own-goal by Harvard that was credited to Hayley Masters, then held off a furious Crimson rally in the third for a 4-3 victory in the Beanpot semifinals on Tuesday.

Harvard drew within one on goals by Mary Parker and Samantha Reber, but Chloe Desjardins made 27 saves for the red-hot Huskies, who will face Boston College in the championship game of the Beanpot next Tuesday.
