St. Norbert assistant Kivi named Marian women’s coach

As with the men’s program, Marian’s women’s team has plucked a St. Norbert assistant to be its head coach.

Marian named Jamie Kivi, an assistant at St. Norbert for the past two seasons, its head coach on Wednesday.

“She was successful as a player at a top-notch Division III program in Elmira and she understands what it takes to build a young program from her experience at St. Norbert,” Marian athletic director Jason Murphy said in a statement. “We feel her past experiences and successes will be a valuable asset to our program.”

As a player at Elmira, Kivi won three ECAC West titles and made three appearances in the national semifinals. She was twice a first-team All-American.
