NCAA releases second 2013 Division III men’s regional rankings

The NCAA has released the second of three weekly Division III men’s hockey regional rankings, with a final update to be published on  Feb. 26.

With a few changes in position, all 16 east teams from the first ranking remain in this week’s ranking. Utica remains atop the east region, again followed by Norwich. Hobart and Bowdoin each moved up one place, while Oswego fell two places to No. 5.  Trinity, Neumann and Plattsburgh all moved up, while Amherst, Mass.-Boston and Manhattanville dropped in the rankings.

In the west region, there are two changes: Milwaukee School of Engineering (at No. 6) and Marian (at No. 7) are out, replaced by St. Scholastica and Gustavus Adolphus respectively.

A similar process to the three published rankings will be followed on selection Sunday, March 3, to determine seeding and at-large berths but those results will not be published.

The complete list of rankings includes 16 teams from the east region and 8 teams from the west region.
