Vermont blueliner Walls leaves school for Central Hockey League deal

Vermont sophomore defenseman Caylen Walls has left school and signed a pro contract with the Quad City Mallards of the Central Hockey League, giving up his final two years of eligibility, according to the Burlington Free Press.

Walls played 26 games in 2013-14 and posted one assist.

As a freshman in 2012-13, Walls tallied two goals and five assists for seven points in 34 games.
