The Wisconsin athletic board met Friday afternoon and approved the contract renewals of women’s coach Mark Johnson and men’s coach Tony Granato.
Johnson’s five-year contract was renewed through June 30, 2023, as was Granato’s.
Last season, Johnson led the Badgers to a 31-5-2 overall mark (20-2-2 WCHA) and a national tournament semifinal berth, while Granato posted a 14-19-4 overall mark (8-13-3 Big Ten), losing in the Big Ten tournament quarterfinals to Michigan.
