Northeastern announced its incoming class Thursday and among the six is a transfer who is eligible immediately.

Forward Austin Plevy skated three seasons for UMass and will play his last season of eligibility for Northeastern.

Plevy appeared in 104 games in three seasons for the Minutemen, recording 20 goals and 30 assists for 50 points.

“We believe his offensive abilities will contribute to us and our team,” said Northeastern coach Jim Madigan in a statement. “What I like about graduate transfers is that he’s been in a program for three years, he understands what it takes to compete not only at the college level, but in Hockey East. He’s played in the competitive league, and we expect him to provide some leadership in our program.”
