WCHA suspends Alabama Huntsville’s Gosselin one game for head contact penalty against Miami

The WCHA announced Sunday a one-game suspension to Alabama Huntsville senior defenseman Kurt Gosselin.

The suspension is a result of Gosselin’s five-minute major penalty and game misconduct infraction for contact to the head, which occurred at the 3:03 mark of the second period in Alabama Huntsville’s game on Saturday, Oct. 6 at Miami.

Upon review, the hit was delivered in a manner that warranted the suspension, according to a WCHA press release.

Alabama Huntsville’s next scheduled game is today, Sunday, Oct. 7 at Miami.

Gosselin is eligible to return for the Chargers’ Friday, Oct. 12 game at Colorado College.
