Hockey East announced Monday that Merrimack junior forward Sami Tavernier has been suspended one game stemming from an incident at 16:05 of the first period on Saturday, Oct. 27 against Massachusetts.
On the play, Tavernier was whistled for a five-minute major for hitting from behind and a game misconduct.
Tavernier will miss the game on Friday, Nov. 2 against Boston College and is eligible to return to the Warriors’ lineup Saturday, Nov. 3 at Boston College.
