WCHA suspends Alaska Anchorage’s Schachle one game for head contact penalty versus Lake Superior State

The WCHA announced Saturday a one-game suspension for Alaska Anchorage freshman forward Tanner Schachle, effective for the Seawolves’ next game.

The suspension is a result of Schachle’s five-minute major penalty and game misconduct infraction for contact to the head, which occurred at the 6:58 mark of the third period in Alaska Anchorage’s game on Friday, Jan. 4 at home against Lake Superior State.

Upon review, the hit was delivered in a manner that warranted the suspension, according to a press release.

Alaska Anchorage’s next scheduled game is today, Jan. 5, against Lake Superior State. Schachle is eligible to return for the Seawolves’ Friday, Jan. 11 game at home against Northern Michigan.
