Alaska Anchorage’s Schachle suspended one game by WCHA

The WCHA announced Saturday a one-game suspension to Alaska Anchorage freshman forward Tanner Schachle.

The suspension is a result of Schachle’s five-minute major penalty and game misconduct infraction for checking from behind, which occurred at the 36-second mark of the third period in Alaska Anchorage’s game on Friday, March 1 at home against Alaska.

Upon review, the hit was delivered in a manner that warranted the suspension, according to a news release.

Alaska Anchorage’s next scheduled game is today against Alaska. Schachle would be eligible to return for the Seawolves’ 2019-20 regular-season opening game.
