The Philadelphia Flyers announced Monday that the club has signed forward Joel Farabee to an entry-level contract.

The contract will take effect at the start of the 2019-20 season.

Farabee just completed his freshman season at Boston University, leading the team in scoring with 17 goals and 19 assists for 36 points in 37 games.

He was recently named the 2018-19 Hockey East Rookie of the Year as well.

Philadelphia selected the Cicero, N.Y., native in the first round (14th overall) of last summer’s draft.
