Northeastern goaltender Ryan Ruck will join Colorado College this fall as a graduate transfer.

Ruck, who will graduate from Northeastern this May and have one year of eligibility for the 2019-20 season, posted a 38-25-8 record as the primary starter during his first two seasons at Northeastern.

“We are excited that Ryan will be joining the Tiger hockey family,” said Colorado College coach Mike Haviland in a statement. “He has won a conference championship and played in an NCAA tournament game. He is a great young man and will be a strong veteran presence in our locker room.”

As a freshman in 2015-16, Ruck was one of only two rookies in the nation with at least 20 wins (20-11-4) and led Northeastern to the Hockey East tournament championship, snapping a 28-year drought for the Huskies. As a sophomore, he was 18-14-4 with a 2.94 GAA and a .897 save percentage.

During the last two seasons, the 6-1, 173-pounder from Coto de Caza, Calif., was limited to 12 games.

This past season, Ruck appeared in six games, and started three while starter Cayden Primeau was with Team Canada at the World Junior Championship. He posted a 2-1 record with a 1.01 GAA and a .956 save percentage.
