As part of Western Michigan’s athletics hall of fame class of 2019, the school will induct former Broncos goaltender Bill Horn.

The induction and banquet will be held on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Fetzer Center, starting at 5:30 p.m. Inductees will then also be honored the following day during halftime of Western Michigan football’s game against Central Michigan.

A native of Regina, Sask., Horn played at WMU from 1985 to 1989 and was a Second Team All-American in 1985-86.

Horn was also Second Team All-CCHA in 1986-87 and two-time All-CCHA honorable mention selection. Named the CCHA tournament MVP after helping lead WMU to the program’s first CCHA tournament championship in 1986, Horn is the winningest goalie in WMU history with 71 career victories, also holding the single-season record for wins in a season with 25 (1985-86).

He also holds the program record for minutes played in net with 7933:28 and is also the single-season winning percentage record-holder at .833, also in 1985-86.
