Forward Bobby Hampton has transferred from Northeastern to Penn State and will redshirt the 2019-20 season due to the NCAA transfer rule.

Hampton played in 47 games over two seasons for the Huskies, scoring five goals and adding a pair of assists for seven points.

“It is hard to not choose Penn State when an opportunity like this presents itself,” said Hampton in a news release. “There is so much history at this university and I wanted nothing more than to be a part of it.”

“Bobby is a good skater who plays hard, but unfortunately will have to sit out the 2019-20 season due to NCAA transfer rules,” added PSU coach Guy Gadowsky. “We believe the year off will allow him to adjust to Penn State and our style of play.”
