Troy Loggins scored at 15:53 of overtime to send host Northern Michigan to the WCHA championship game.

Twice, Northern Michigan took a one-goal lead, only to see Bowling Green tie the game. Zach Diamantoni put the Wildcats up 1-0 with a goal at 18:55.

However, Max Johnson scored on a power play just 52 seconds into the second to seize the momentum back.

Joseph Nardi scored at the 10-minute mark of the third period, and it looked like that would prove the game-winner, but with just eight seconds left in the game — and Bowling Green goalie Ryan Bednard pulled — Cameron Wright scored to force the extra session.

Bednard made 39 saves in the losing effort, including six in the OT, while Northern Michigan netminder Atte Tolvanen made 30 saves, including six in the OT.
