The Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead, netting the only goal in each of the first two stanzas.<\/p>\n
Tucker Brockett got Princeton on the board with a power-play goal midway through the first, batting home a rebound by Ben Foster, set up by Liau. Then with 4:25 left in the second, Mike Ambrosia tallied his first goal of the season, as Kyle Rankin and Ryan Siiro set up Ambrosia in the slot for the eventual game winner.<\/p>\n
Army gained some offensive momentum early in the third, as the Tigers were called for a penalty just 30 seconds in. Although Army failed to capitalize on the power play, the Black Knights used the momentum to cut the Tigers lead in half at 4:53, as Joe Llaurado squeaked the puck between Phinney’s left pad and the post, set up by Joe Kozlak and Clint Carlisle.<\/p>\n
But the Tigers took back the momentum after killing another penalty just 1:03 later, and then added two insurance goals by Ben Foster and Tommy Davis.<\/p>\n
