Robert Morris lost to Boston University, 3-2, as the Terriers completed the two-game sweep at the RMU Island Sports Center on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Robert Morris took over the game early with an offensive surge from sophomore Alissa Dorman scoring back-to-back goals in the first period. Dorman connected from sophomore Laura White at 12:01 for the first score and again three minutes later from junior Maria Olausson to stake the Colonials to a 2-0 lead.<\/p>\n

Boston University didn’t back down with a 2-0 deficit staring them in the face. Halfway through the second period the Terriers cut the Colonials lead to one with a score from sophomore Gina Kearns at the 9:31 mark.<\/p>\n

The combined 23 penalties from both teams didn’t play a factor in the game until the final 10 minutes of play. Boston University managed to tie the game with 11:10 showing on the clock off of Kearns’s second goal of the game on the power play.<\/p>\n

With 2:26 left in the third period, Boston University took a 3-2 lead off a four-on-three power-play goal.<\/p>\n

Freshman Heather Rossi dazzled the crowd with several spectacular saves in net finishing with 26 saves total for Robert Morris.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
