He will remain on the athletics department staff as the ice arena manager and assume additional administrative responsibilities in facilities operations. <\/p>\n<div class=\"boxright\" style=\"width: 102px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"boxjpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/images\/headshots\/buffst_fowler.jpg\" width=\"100\" height=\"135\" alt=\"Fowler\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"namecaption\">Fowler<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Fowler was just the second coach in the program&#8217;s 12-year history, assuming control prior to the 1996-97 season. He led the Bengals to the school&#8217;s first-ever SUNYAC playoff appearance in 2000-01 and amassed a 52-133-13 record at Buffalo State.<\/p>\n<p>A search to hire a new part-time head coach will begin immediately.<\/p>\n<p>This becomes the second coaching vacancy in the SUNYAC this offseason.
