CC Unanimous No. 1 In USCHO.com/CSTV Poll

Colorado College completed a tough sweep of North Dakota last weekend, then mopped up in Monday’s USCHO.com/CSTV Division I men’s poll. The Tigers received all 40 first-place votes for a perfect 600 points.

Trailing at No. 2 was Boston College, which pulled off two impressive wins of its own, sweeping archrival Boston University in a home-and-home series. The rest of the top five was unchanged as well, featuring No. 3 Michigan (sweep of Alaska-Fairbanks), fourth-ranked Minnesota (sweep of Minnesota State), and No. 5 Wisconsin (sweep of Alaska-Anchorage).

Denver moved up a spot to sixth despite splitting with Michigan Tech, as New Hampshire dropped a notch below the Pioneers after losing a stunner to Dartmouth, then beating Yale.

Colgate climbed two spots to No. 8 after beating Rensselaer and Union, and ninth place belonged to the Raiders’ travel partner Cornell, up two spots after wins over the same two teams.

Ohio State came in at No. 10 after taking two from Notre Dame, and BU was ranked 11th after its two losses to BC. No. 12 North Dakota fell three spots after its sweep at the hands of CC.

Idle Harvard climbed a notch to No. 13, trading places with Vermont after the Catamounts lost their lone game of the weekend to Dartmouth.

Massachusetts-Lowell rounded out the poll at No. 15 after sweeping Merrimack. The River Hawks replaced Maine, which fell out of the Top 15 for the first time this year despite taking three points from Massachusetts.
