St. Norbert a near-unanimous choice as top team in D-III men’s poll

With 18 of 20 first-place votes, St. Norbert starts this season where it ended last season – as the top-ranked team in the USCHO.com Division III Men’s Poll.

Oswego garnered the other two first-place votes and is ranked second, followed by Norwich, Plattsburgh and Gustavus Adolphus to round out the top five.

Amherst, the Milwaukee School of Engineering and Adrian occupy spots 6-8, respectively, while Hobart and St. Thomas tie for the ninth ranking this week.

Castleton starts off at No. 11, Wisconsin-River Falls is 12th, with Utica at No. 13, Bowdoin 14th and Wisconsin-Eau Claire coming in at No. 15.

Fourteen other schools received votes.

The USCHO.com Division III Men’s Poll is compiled weekly and consists of 20 voters, including 18 coaches of Division III programs and two men’s hockey writers.
