NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Facing its in-state rival without its head coach wasn’t much of a problem for Yale.

Ted Hart scored the game-tying and game-winning goals to help the Bulldogs to a 3-2 win over the Bobcats at Ingalls Rink.

Yale is starting a stretch of games without coach Keith Allain, who is a member of the coaching staff for Team USA at the Winter Olympics in South Korea.

Odeen Tufto had a goal and an assist for Quinnipiac, while Sam Tucker made 29 saves in net for Yale.

It was the first time that Yale defeated the Bobcats since the 2013 national title game, a 0-7-3 skid for the Bulldogs.
