SOUTH BEND, Ind. — After taking a 2-0 lead into the first intermission, Notre Dame added four unanswered second period goals courtesy of Andrew Peeke, Joe Wegwerth and Cam Morrison twice.
Brennan Sanford and Zach Osburn each tallied in the final period to cut the lead to 6-3, however, the game was still too far out of reach for the Spartans.
Cale Morris led the way in net for the Fighting Irish; making 30 saves on route to victory.
