St. Benedict Scores Two Late, Fights Off Concordia’s Rally Attempt

St. Benedict scored two goals in the game’s last five minutes and beat Concordia 7-5 Saturday in an MIAC game.

Kelly Wegwerth scored her second goal of the game at 15:30 of the third period on assists from Katy Rollwagen and Paula Vogt. Twenty-three seconds later, Rollwagen scored an unassisted goal.

Concordia trailed 5-1 before scoring four goals in the second period to tie the score at 5-5. Four different players scored for Concordia.

Rollwagen also had an unassisted goal in the first period as the Blazers built a 3-1 lead after one periode.

Annie Knierim scored two goals for Concordia.
